MEMBERSHIP ELIGIBILITY?
YOU MAY JOIN THE AMERICAN LEGION AUXILIARY IF YOU ARE:
- the mother, wife, sister, daughter, granddaughter, great-granddaughter or grandmother of a member of The American Legion.
- a female veteran who served during any of the conflicts listed below.
- participation in raffles and drawings at Club events
- a female member of The American Legion. (Yes, women veterans can join both!)
- the mother, wife, sister, daughter, granddaughter, great-granddaughter or grandmother of a deceased veteran who served during any of the conflicts listed below.
ELIGIBILITY DATES:
- World War I: April 6, 1917 to November 11, 1918
- Merchant Marines: December 7, 1941 to December 31, 1946
- World War II: December 7, 1941 to December 31, 1946
- Korean War: June 25, 1950 to January 31, 1955
- Vietnam War: February 28, 1961 to May 7, 1975
- Lebanon/Grenada: August 24, 1982 to July 31, 1984
- Panama: December 20, 1989 to January 31, 1990
- Desert Shield/Storm/War on Terror: August 2, 1990 to date of cessation

WHAT DOES IT COST TO BECOME A MEMBER OF THE AUXILIARY?
Oceanside American Legion Auxiliary Unit 146 has annual Dues of $35.00 for Seniors and $5.00 for Juniors (under 18 years of age).
WHERE AND WHEN ARE YOUR MEETINGS HELD?
Oceanside American Legion Auxiliary Unit 146 meetings are held on the 3rd Saturday of each month at the Elks Lodge 444 Country Club Lane, Oceanside, CA 92054 at 9:00 am.
IF I BECOME A MEMBER, DO I HAVE TO ATTEND ALL MEETINGS?
Oceanside American Legion Auxiliary Unit 146 is a group of ladies that volunteer to help with our Veterans and Community. As we would like to all attend all the meetings we understand that this is a volunteer group and you are welcome to get involved as much as you like or as little. We all work for the same cause. We have ladies that help and volunteer with every programs, we have ladies that join us and help when they can; the choice is yours for what you would like to do.
